ABOUT QMI 2026

The 2nd National Workshop on “Quantum Mathematics and Biomedical Imaging for Intelligent Healthcare 5.0 (QMI 2026)” aims to bring together researchers, clinicians, industry experts, faculty members, and students to explore emerging advances in biomedical imaging, healthcare analytics, artificial intelligence, and quantum technologies. As healthcare systems increasingly rely on data-driven decision-making, there is a growing need for innovative mathematical frameworks and intelligent computational methods capable of addressing complex clinical challenges. Biomedical imaging modalities such as MRI, CT, PET, SPECT, ultrasound, and digital pathology generate vast amounts of heterogeneous data that require sophisticated analysis for accurate disease diagnosis and treatment planning. Recent developments in machine learning, deep learning, and quantum-inspired approaches have opened new possibilities for disease characterization, medical image interpretation, clinical decision support, and healthcare innovation. QMI 2026 is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the entire healthcare imaging ecosystem from mathematical foundations and clinical interpretation to AI-driven analytics, quantum opportunities, ethical considerations, intellectual property, and translational healthcare technologies. The workshop will feature expert lectures, hands-on sessions, panel discussions, and interactive activities delivered by leading academicians, clinicians, industry professionals, and technology innovators. The workshop seeks to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and inspire future research at the intersection of mathematics, biomedical imaging, artificial intelligence, and intelligent healthcare systems, contributing to the vision of Healthcare 5.0 and the broader goals of technology-enabled healthcare transformation.

About SAS

The School of Advanced Sciences (SAS) at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Chennai, comprises Department of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. It offers the following programmes: Ph.D, M.Sc Data Science, M.Sc Physics, M.Sc Chemistry. The school also offers a plethora of core and elective courses facilitating B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, Integrated M.Tech, Management and Law programmes.
